Axel Rehfuhs, Managing Partner
Raised in both Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario, Axel Rehfuhs developed a strong entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. His first venture, a small lawn care business, quickly grew into a full-service landscaping company that provided him with valuable hands-on experience in business management and customer service.
After graduating high school with a focus on business studies, Axel went on to earn a diploma in General Business from Confederation College and later completed his degree in Marketing from Lakehead University, where he developed a strong interest in law and politics.
Axel’s career path led him into management roles with national retail chains, where his leadership and performance earned him recognition as Top Manager in the country. Inspired by his success, he returned to entrepreneurship, building and selling multiple businesses before joining the family company, Garant Enterprises, as a second-generation owner.
As Managing Partner, Axel brings years of operational expertise, strategic leadership, and real-world business experience to help drive Garant Enterprises’ continued growth and innovation.
Brandon Rehfuhs, Managing Partner
Brandon Rehfuhs is a graduate of Lakehead University’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce program and a Master of Science in Management graduate, where his research focused on the development and perception of soft skills in education and business.
His passion for entrepreneurship began early. In high school, he launched his school’s first business calendar, a project unlike anything the school had seen before, especially since it had never undertaken a large profit-based initiative. Using a zero-risk business model, Brandon sold out his inventory and donated all proceeds to local charities. His innovative approach was later adopted by another not-for-profit organization, which raised over $30,000 using the same model. He went on to create Brandon’s Bargains, a second-hand goods store that operated successfully until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While studying at Lakehead, Brandon led the Entrepreneurship Club, where he taught both high school and university students key soft skills and essential business concepts. Today, he continues to share his expertise each summer through SHAD Canada at Lakehead University, helping 88 top-performing high school students from across the country explore innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEAM education.
As Managing Partner at Garant Enterprises, Brandon brings his passion for experiential learning, business development, and community leadership to help individuals and organizations learn, build, and grow. He encourages the use of current and emerging technologies in business and enjoys teaching others how to integrate these tools to enhance productivity, creativity, and impact.
